Karen's Chicken Fettucine

1/2 cup butter or margarine
- melt butter & add 3 Tbs. flour
-add 1 pint heave cream (half & half for less rich) to make white sauce
1 clove garlic minced or garlic salt to taste
1 cup mushrooms, fresh, sliced
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, fresh, grated
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced into small pieces
1 pkg (12oz) fettucine noodles, cooked as directed on package
